Our Story
Gryffin & Dane first met in middle school at Sage International School of Boise. While at sage, they participated in a multitute of high school sports together, such as cross country skiing and mountain biking.
As high school came to a close, they became closer and closer friends. The summer between high school and college was filled with good laughs and outdoor adventures.
As college started, Dane went to Montana State University and Gryffin attended Boise State University. As the semester went on, Dane and Gryffin started talking on the phone late into the night, and Gryffin planned a trip to come to Bozeman in October!
November of 2021 came and they officially started dating. About a week later Gryffin was up in the Idaho mountains learning about hunting.
That winter was filled with snowmobiling, ice fishing, and planning for the upcoming summer.
2022/2023
The summer of 2022 came with some great adventures in the Idaho Backcountry, with the highlight being when they saw 3 wolverines playing on a snowbank at a high mountain lake!
The following year (2023) was a year of great traveling. The year started with a trip to Mexico with some family friends of Gryffin’s, then onto the Oregon coast for an Antoniuk family reunion, then about a week after a trip up to Alaska to visit some of Danes family, and finally a 10 day trip to Brazil to see Gryffin’s extended family as well as Taylor Swift!
2024
2024 came with some great adventures, from river rafting to rodeoing, Dane and Gryffin were quite busy! But the highlight of the year was when Gryffin was able to harvest her first mule deer! After 4 days of hunting and not quite seeing anything, a 2-point walked out 200 yards away and Gryffin had a great placed shot. As they were getting ready to get Gryffins deer loaded into the packs, Dane was able to harvest one! With 2 deer needing to be packed out, Dane made a satellite text to a good friend (Mr. Clay Moore) and was able to get the meat packed out and home in time for dinner!
2025
2025 might have been the busiest year yet! It started with Gryffin finding out that she had made the coveted Snake River Stampeders Drill Team for the 110th Snake River Stampede. She excelled as a rider and had a blast doing it! While she was riding, Dane was apart of the light crew and had the important job of opening the garage door as the riders exited the arena! After the rodeo fun, they immediately went into the Idaho backcountry, spending a total of 21 nights in a tent! Both Dane and Gryffin were able to graduate from Boise State University in 2025; Dane with a Environmental Studies degree and Gryffin with a Biology degree.
The Engagement
Last but certainly not least, Dane proposed to Gryffin on July 4, 2025! They were camping at a high mountain lake near McCall, Idaho and in the pouring rain, Dane got down on one knee and asked the question. Gryffin said yes in a heartbeat and then they quickly ran for cover away from the rain (it was seriously down pouring).
